SPECIALITY- Cataract & Lasik Laser Dr. Sonal Shah, known for her finest surgical hand and excellent rapport with patients, has been in practice for the last fourteen years. She has secured 3 distinctions during Under Graduate course at Sion Hospital. She had also received highest honors in Ophthalmic Surgery. She passed both DNB and DOMS of Mumbai University with flying colors. She secured 74% in examinations held by international council of ophthalmology, London and has achieved international Standards in Ophthalmology. She had done her specialty training in cataract & Laser Surgeries from Mumbai University. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of ophthalmology, American society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Indian Ophthalmologist Association. Her area of interest is Cataract, Lasik and Phaco Emulsification surgery. She has performed more than 20,000 cataract surgeries & more than 4500 Lasik surgeries till date. She has attended many National& International conferences e.g. American Society of Cataract& Refractive Surgery, American Academy Conference at New Orleance ESCRS at Paris etc. She is also working as a visiting faculty for DOTA &B.Sc – Optometry courses run through our institute.
