Dr Pradnya Aptikar

Dr. Pradnya Aptikar is one of the leading Ayurvedic Gynecologist in Mumbai. She has completed her BAMS degree from “Tilak Ayurved College, Pune” with first rank and gold medal from Pune university and subsequently completed her post graduation (M.D. – Gyn and Obst) with first rank from Pune university. To understand the ancient and classical literature of Ayurved, she In parallel to her medical education, has completed her BA (Sanskrit) and MA (Sanskrit) from Tilak Maharashtra University with first rank and gold medal. During her medical education, she was also adjudged as the best registrar and best outgoing student in Tilak Ayurvedic College, Pune. Other Medical Activities: -Dr. Pradnya Aptikar has published and presented various articles various national and international seminars on Ayurveda. -For spreading and increasing the awareness of Ayurveda especially Ayurvedic Gynecology, she has published various articles in various magzines. -She has appeared on various live and recorded TV shows on channels like Doordarshan, Z-TV and 7 Star Care to answer and clarify medical doubts of patients. - She is a active member of various medical associations like Family Planning Association (FPA), National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA) and Ayurveda Vyasapeeth. - Dr. Pradnya Aptikar has worked as a member of Technical Committee of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH), a branch of Quality Council of India (QCI), to set the requirement standards to be fulfilled by all Ayurvedic Hospitals in India. - She is also working as a Reader in Strirog Prasuti-tantra department of Ayurvedic college.
