Dr Amit Y Ghanekar did his M.B.B.S from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College & Sion Hospital followed by his M.D in Internal medicine from B.J Medical college and Sassoon hospital Pune and and his D.N.B in Medical oncology from Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, an apex institute and a premier cancer care Centre in India. Additionally he acquired a Fellowship in Haemato-oncology and Bone marrow transplant from P.AK.H, Mumbai a dedicated pioneer institute. He has had a sound academic career, strong inclination for human relationships and realistic and scientific approach towards his patients. Ever ready for valuable opinions and healthy evidence based discussions with the sole motto of patient benefit and optimum care. He has also been trained in treatment of various blood disorders like Thrombocytopenia, Polycythemia, Leukaemoid reaction, Myelodysplastic syndromes, Refractory Anemia’s, Myeloproliferative disorders, Aplastic Anemia and has done over 5000 related procedures. He has also been a part of multiple successful bone marrow and stem cell transplantations for Myeloma, lymphoma, leukemia, Thalassemia and rare/immune disorders
