Dr. Rao is a surgical oncologist trained at Tata Memorial Hospital. He has gained further experience in head neck oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York, USA and training in laser surgery from University of Kiel and Goettingen, Germany. Dr. Satish Rao brings 23 years of experience and expertise in Head, Neck & Breast Oncology surgeries. Dr. Rao is trained in surgical oncology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has undergone advanced training in Head & Neck oncology at Sloan Kettering Cancer centre, New York, USA and specialized training in endoscopic laser surgery for head & neck cancer from university of Kiel and University of Gottingen, Germany. Dr. Rao has vast experience in operating Oral, Thyroid and Parotid Tumors. He expertises in Voice conservation & Breast surgeries. He has more than 25 publications and papers to his credit in International and National journals. He is a recipient of a Travelling Fellowship, for training in Surgical Oncology. He has been in the executive committee of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, Foundation for Head & Neck Oncology and International College of Surgeons Indian Section.
