Dr Nimisha S Kantharia

Dr. Nimisha Kantharia is a dynamic laparoscopic & bariatric surgeon, with over ten years of surgical experience. After completion of MS General Surgery at Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M.Hospital Mumbai, she served at the same institute as Assistant Professor in General Surgery for 4 years. Thereafter she pursued a 2-year Fellowship of the National Board of Examinations (FNB) with minimal access, metabolic and bariatric surgery at the prestigious Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. Her academic distinctions include the Vice-Chancellor's Certificate of Merit for standing second in university MS General Surgery examinations and international fellowships such as the MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. She has presented scientific papers at various national and international conferences and has authored publications in reputable international journals. Her expertise lies in the field of advanced laparoscopic techniques for hernias, reflux disease, obesity and metabolic syndrome. She is attached to a number of hospitals in south Mumbai and western suburbs.
