Dr Mallick

Dr.Anirban Mallick (MBBS, DSM, FAFC) is currently working as Sports Physician in the Department of Sports Medicine in National Institute of Sports, Patiala. He has more than 7 years of experience in the field of sports medicine. He extended his services as team physician for Indian boxing team and Indian hockey team. Currently, he is the only sports medicine specialist in India with Advanced Team Physician diploma certified by both the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He is also amongst first in the country to be invited by IOC to conduct a workshop in the IOC Conference for Injury Prevention and Illness in sports 2017 in Monaco. He has numerous national and international publications to his credit. His main areas of interest are injury prevention, sports cardiology, knee and shoulder injury, nutritional supplements in sports. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Indian Health Professional award (IHP Award 2017) for his outstanding contribution in the field of sports medicine and sports cardiology and nominated for BMJ (British Medical Journal) South Asia award- 2016.
