Dr Shashi Sharma is a renowned Eye Surgeon and Retina Specialist in Lucknow. After completing his MBBS, he went on to pursue MS (Ophthalmology) from prestigious King George Medical University, Lucknow. He then pursued his DNB (Diplomate of National Board) followed by fellowship in Phacoemulsification & IOL and fellowship in Vitreo-Retina from Venu Eye Institute and Research centre, Delhi. He has an expertise of doing thousands of Cataract surgeries. He is well trained in managing complex cataract diseases, Retinal disorders like Diabetic Retinopathy, Age Related Macular Degeneration, Vein Occlusion, Retinal detachment and Retinopathy of Prematurity. He has special interest in managing Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). He has worked as Clinical Incharge and Head (Vitreo-Retina Services) in various institutes like ASG Eye Hospital (Varanasi), EyeQ Superspeciality Hospital (Lucknow &Kanpur). He is a visiting consultant for Lifeline Hospital Sohar, Oman and Burjheel Medical Centre Muscat, Oman.
