Dr Humayun Ali Shah

Dr. Humayun Ali Shah is an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon in Kolkata, practicing at Apex General Hospital (Baguihati) and Naba Jiban Hospital (Hatibagan). He has also been associated as Clinical Director in the Department of Orthopaedics at Sanjiban Hospital in Fuleswar, Howrah, since November 2012. His main area of interest is joint replacement surgery. Dr. Shah completed his graduation (MBBS) and post-graduation (MS in General Surgery) From RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata, in 1989 and 1998 respectively. He subsequently went to the United Kingdom and worked as an MCh (Ortho) trainee in 2006-07 at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, after which he received the MCh (Ortho) degree. Earlier, Dr. Humayun Ali Shah served as Senior House Surgeon in the department of Orthopaedics of RG Kar Medical College & Hospital from August 1989 to December 1990. He later enrolled for the MS program at the same institution, during which time (1995-98) he served there as a postgraduate trainee. Before and after his MS, Dr. Shah worked with Prof DK Mishra in his private clinic, from January 1991 to April 1995 and then again from 1998 to December 2001. Since then, Dr. Shah has been functioning as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
