Dr. (Capt.) Nandini Rastogi did her M.B.B.S. from AFMC, Pune with distinctions in many subjects. After graduation she served as Short Service Commissioned Officer in Army Medical Corps where she was adjudged the Best Officer in Medical Officers Basic Course. She was also awarded the ‘Seva Sena Medal’ for meritorious services rendered in the Chamb – Jaurian Sector of J & K. After her marriage Post Graduation in Internal Medicine from G.S.V.M. Medical College & since 1993, she is in active practice establishing herself as Consultant in Internal Medicine of great repute in a short span of time. Her special interests are Diabetes & Critical Care. Dr. Rastogi Served in various positions in the Executive Committee of IMA Kanpur including vice President IMA Kanpur, President of Physicians Forum of Kanpur & Secretary of Kanpur Diabetes Association & Joint Secretary & Member Executive Committee of UP Diabetes Association, Chairman of IMA Academy of Medical Specialties, Kanpur Subchapter. Highly acclaimed Refresher Course She was also the Assistant Director of hugely successful XXX IMA CGP Refresher Course last year – 2012 which set a benchmark for all times to come and also got the Best National Refresher Course for our branch in the form of “CL Jagga Award” from IMA Head Quarter. She is the regional faculty of the certified course in Evidence-based Diabetes Management which is running in the 2nd year and training physicians in the field of diabetes in the city of Kanpur. Recently Kanpur has been chosen one of the 50 centers in India to hold the certified course in Gestational Diabetes Management of which she is also one of the chosen Regional Faculty. Dr. Rastogi has been regularly attending Conferences of API, ADA (American Diabetes Association) EASD, ESICM & ISCCM. Dr. Rastogi with her pleasing personality & oratory skills, she is in great demand in all social events of the medical fraternity. She has been on Faculty of various conferences held in Kanpur & UP. She is also selected regional faculty of the certified diabetes course being held under the stewardship of Public Health Foundation of India & Mohan’s Centre for Diabetes, Chennai to impart ABC of Diabetes to the Family Physicians of Kanpur City. Always willing for extra jobs, she has served various Rotary & Inner wheels clubs and NGOs, in giving medical services to the society in the form of free health checkups, public health lectures & conducted many mega camps. In spite of her very busy professional schedule, she has managed to keep a very good balance between her professional & social activities. Dr Rastogi is President of Kanpur Diabetes Association, Kanpur.
