Dr. Sharath completed his DNB in Rheumatology in May 2013. He underwent training in both adult rheumatology (under Dr. A.N Malaviya who is known as the “Father of Indian Rheumatology) as well as in PEDIATRIC RHEUMATOLOGY (under Dr Sujata Sawhney). He also completed the graduate certificate course in Pediatric Rheumatology from the University of Western Australia in 2009. He was awarded the International Wyeth Scholarship for the same. (one of only three scholarships available worldwide).He has completed several online courses in rheumatology as well such as the 2 years EULAR Certificate Course on Rheumatic Diseases from European Rheumatology Association, which he completed in May 2010. Around the same time, he also completed the online course for NP and PAs called the Postgraduate course in Rheumatology (combined Adult and Pediatric tracks) from the American College of Rheumatology (American Rheumatology Association). He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and has received hands-on training in the same from Leeds in UK and Copenhagen in Denmark. He has undergone the USSONAR fellowship in Musculoskeletal ultrasound where training is imparted by some of the leading experts in musculoskeletal ultrasound in North America.
