Dr.Rakshay Shetty is the lead Pediatric Intensivist in Rainbow Children’s Hospital. He shares the responsibility of patient care and training with the Pediatric intensive care and Emergency medicine team. He completed his training in Pediatrics from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Post residency, he worked as a senior resident in Pediatric Intensive Care at the same institute before moving to the prestigious Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto to complete his Fellowship Program in Intensive Care. Dr.Rakshay Shetty is a founder member of Indian Pediatric Simulation society, PediSTARS and has been instrumental in spreading simulation-based training through conferences and workshops throughout the country. He has represented India globally in the field of simulation-based education and was an invited visiting professor at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition to his enthusiasm in Simulation, he has a keen interest in the field of point of care ultrasound, cardiopulmonary interactions and Neurointensive care. He is currently an Associate editor for Journal of Pediatric Critical care. He has also contributed to the book chapters related to the practice of Pediatric critical care medicine and has a few international research publications to his credit. As a member of IAP, Indian Society of Critical care Medicine and IAP intensive care chapter, he has delivered many lectures and conducted workshops nationally. He also volunteered as a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist for the camps held by Mending Kids International (MKI) and International Child Heart foundation (ICHF) for their missions in Africa.
