Dr AK Purohit has served as Professor and Head ( ) at NIMS (Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences), Hyderabad, India. He is a practising neurosurgeon since years). He, joined medical field in years back as a medical student) completed it in 1970 and then MS in General Surgery in 1983 from RNT Medical College, Udaipur Rajasthan. He was never trained abroad and did not get any degree from there. He is connected in India to many other hospitals in various cities (Mumbai, Jaipur and many more other). He has a particular interest and has contributed globally to the cause of cerebral palsy (CP). To his credit, he has invented and pioneered unique methods to relieve spasticity and dystonia. He has brought a lot of awareness about CP through his books, societies like the Indian Family of CP and science through academies like the Indian Academy of CP. He is the founder member of these too. Expert in services: He has skills in all conventional and many latest neuro-procedures to treat various diseases, to name a few: A.
