Dr. Kamal has completed a long-term clinical fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery from esteemed LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. Earlier he completed MBBS, post-graduation (MS Ophthalmology) and worked as Senior Resident in Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Apart from comprehensive eye examination, cataract, glaucoma, retina check-up and squint, his specialty work includes eyelid surgery, eyelid/face cosmetics, eye cancers, disorders of lacrimal system and orbit. He is also associate editor for Oculoplastics and trauma for BMC Ophthalmology. His special interest lies in Dacryology (diseases of lacrimal system, tear duct). He has carried out three instruction courses so far on Dacryology and Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy as chief instructor, including one at Annual Conference of All India Ophthalmological Society 2017. He has also been instructor at Bhubaneswar Cadaver Course twice for Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. He has been invited to speak on “Management of Complex congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction” and “Challenging lacrimal cases” at International Society of Dacryology and Dry Eye (ISDDE) meeting, Athens, 2017.
