He has 23 years of vast experience and has hands on expertise in treating Chronic Obstructive Airway Disease, Interstitial Lung Diseases, Recurrent Chest Infection, Pulmonary Interventions, Chronic Respiratory Insufficiency, Respiratory Allergy, Acute Life Threatening Lung Disorders, Sleep Disorders and Occupational Lung disorder. He has successfully treated patients with Bronchial Asthma, Pleural Effusion and Empyema. He also provides advanced Bronchoscopic procedures, critical care and home respiratory care. He has also undergone a course in Sleep Medicine at Sydney, Australia. He is among the first physicians who introduced the concept of Noninvasive Ventilation for both acute and long-term home care. He is also one of the pioneers in the field of sleep medicine, especially sleep related breathing disorders. Presently, Dr. Goel holds the position of Director & Head of Department of Pulmonology, Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Fortis memorial research institute, Gurgaon.
