Dr Maj. Gen K Seshagiri Rao

Dr (Major General) K S Rao is a Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist having nearly half-century of medical professional career which included major Defense Services, Hospital Establishments like Command Hospital (SC) Pune, Army Hospital (Referral and Research) Delhi Cant., Naval Western Command Hospital - INHS Ashwini - Bombay and Command Hospital - Lucknow (Central Command). He was Senior Advisor (Army) - HOD Department of Pediatrics in these Hospitals and recognized Professor of Pediatrics at renowned University of - Pune, Delhi, Bombay and Lucknow. He became Senior Consultant paediatrics in 1965 for Army, Navy and Air-force. During his long service tenure, he actively participated during war days including 1965, 1971 etc. He is a recipient of a gallantry Award in 1971 Indo-Pak Operation in Western Sector for his gallantry rescue operation during Active War Operation for India. He has many scientific publications on his name in the field of paediatrics.
