While in UK , he also got the opportunity to be a Clinical Observer with Mr Bruce Allan, Senior Consultant and Mr John Dart, Senior Consultant, & Director of Research at Cornea and Refractive Surgery Services at the Moorfields Eye Hospital, London which is the oldest and largest specialist eye hospital in the world. Dr.Nagpal’s area of interest is Surgical Cornea especially Corneal Transplant Surgery, Advanced Lamellar Corneal Transplants like Endothelial Keratoplasty ( DSEK) and Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty ( DALK) and Keratoconus . Apart from the above he is proficient in Cataract Surgery ( Phacoemulsification ) and Refractive Surgeries like LASIK, PRK , Implantable Contact Lens ( ICL) Since 2006 , he has been a consultant at the Cornea , Cataract and Refractive Surgery Department at Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad, India and was head of the department from 2010 to 2016. Many years of experience at Retina Foundation & Eye Research Center, Ahmedabad, India, a tertiary referral centre for eye problems has further made him adapt at handling complicated cases of corneal disease, corneal infections, ocular trauma ( eye injuries) , complicated cataracts.
