After finishing his schooling from Modern School, Barakhamba Road in 2005, Dr. Sabharwal decided to further his passion for Psychology and Mental Health. Coming from a family of doctors, Dr. Sabharwal went on to pursue MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) from Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad. After graduating from medical school in 2012, he joined MD (Doctor of Medicine) Psychiatry the same year, at KLE University, Belgaum. It was then that Dr. Sabharwal had his first real life clinical experience with the fascinating field of mental health. During his MD, Dr. Sabharwal was also posted at India's foremost public mental health centre, NIMHANS, Bangalore. He then joined Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital in 2015, after completing his MD, where he worked as a Senior Resident. With an OPD load of more than 60 patients per day, and an IPD care load of a minimum 10 patients at all times, he gained a vast experience in managing both acute and chronic cases. Dr. Sabharwal has also worked extensively in the de-addiction field in the last decade. In addition to inpatient psychiatry and detoxification, he has also been the Consultant Psychiatrist at Franks Wellness De-addiction Centre Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, where he overlooked the rehabilitation of patients suffering from substance use problems and addiction. Dr. Sabharwal's passion led him to found The Happy Tree, India's most advanced de-addiction and psychiatry hospital.
