Dr. Rakesh Chawla, Sr. Consultant Respiratory Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders and Interventional Bronchoscopist has done his graduation and Post Graduation from PGIMS, Rohtak, Haryana in 1986. After doing Sr. Residency he went abroad and served there for approximately 8 ½ years with Excellent Services award with name published in International newspaper. He has published approx. 54 papers in national and International Journal and few are in pipeline in the topics of Bronchoscopic Interventions.
He is attending routinely National(NAPCON & BRONCOCON) and International Conference (ATS,ACCP,ERS) every year in Respiratory Medicine.He has organized one of the best BRONCOCON 2014 in Delhi. He got his training in Sleep medicine from Royal Alfred Hospital Sydney, Australia and trained for medical thoracoscopy at Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. For Interventional Bronchoscopy he attended workshops in India and abroad i.e. Singapore, Munich (Germany), Japan (Tokyo) and attained expertise in doing all procedures in routine in the hospitals.
Presently He is working as Sr. Consultant In Jaipur Golden Hospital every day, Saroj Super Speciality Hospital, Delhi every day and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi every day. He has his own clinic with name Dr. Rakesh Chawla’s Chest, Asthma, Allergy and Sleep disorder centre at Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi.
You can watch him on Shakti TV (Dish) channel 751 every Sunday in Respiratory Update programme. All kind of tests related to the specialty of respiratory medicine are done. He is well versed with flexible and rigid bronchoscopy. We have complete umbrella of services in Respiratory Medicine under one roof in our departments.
With his vast experience, he is among the most trusted doctors in India in the field Interventional Pulmonology (Including diagnostic, Interventional bronchoscopy and medical thoracoscopy) Sleep Medicine (Science of Snoring and Sleep Aponea). Very well experienced in tracheal stenting or airway stenting, Endo Bronchial electric cautery, APC, Cryobiopsy, Cryoablation and Balloon Bronchoplasty. Well trained with foreign body removal specially in children with rigid bronchoscope.He has state of the art sleep lab.for Home Based, hospital Based And Sleep Lab.based Sleep Studies.
