Dr. Ajay Ajmani is an experienced Delhi-based Diabetologist and Endocrinologist with more than three decades of experience behind him. Besides an MBBS, he has procured an MD in General Medicine and the superspeciality DM degree in Endocrinology. He is available for consultations at the BLK Superspeciality Hospital, where he has been since 2010, designated as Consultant and Head of the Department of Endocrinology. He can also be met at the Diabetes, Thyroid and Endocrine Clinic, which is located in Ajay Enclave (near Subash Nagar Metro station, Pacific Mall) Following his post-graduation, Dr. Ajmani took up residency at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in New Delhi until September 1987, after which he was posted as a Medical Officer in the Delhi Administration Service up to June 1993. As he pursued his DM, he was stationed at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research in Chandigarh. He returned to serve the Delhi Administration, this time as a Medical Specialist from June 1993 to March 1995. Subsequently, for the next four years, he was also involved in training at the Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, before he moved to the Dr. RML Hospital where he held the positions of Endocrinologist and Senior Endocrinologist/Head of the Endocrine Unit until January 2010. He is recognized as a teacher at Delhi University (Faculty of Medicine) and at IP University (Faculty of Endocrinology). Dr. Ajay Ajmani has been keenly entrenched into research dealing with thyroid, pituitary tumours and diabetes, having conducted several related studies and clinical trials. He has contributed to a large number of peer-reviewed journals and books, with articles, papers, abstracts and chapters, many of which have also been presented at conferences over the years. He regularly attends conferences, seminars and workshops on diabetes and endocrine disorders and has also participated as speaker and chairperson at various meets. Further, he has been involved as a member of the selection committee for recruiting doctors for posts in medicine and endocrinology in government Institutions. In addition, Dr. Ajmani has also been on the panel for various government projects and institutions for issues relating to diabetes and endocrine disorders. He is a member of several professional associations and bodies.
