Dr. Ashish Vashishth did his MBBS and MS in ENT from Delhi University at the prestigious University College of Medical Sciences and associated Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, New Delhi. He then completed three years of academic senior residency from Safdarjung Hospital and associated Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College in 2014. Safdarjung hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the country and caters to not just the most complicated and neglected cases but also to an extremely high volume of outpatient and surgical cases. Dr. Vashishth did his clinical fellowship training in Otoiogy, Neurotology, Lateral Skull Base Surgery and advanced auditory implants (Cochlear and Brainstem implants) in 2016-2017 for one year in Piacenza, Italy at the prestigious Gruppo Otologico, under Prof Mario Sanna. The fellowship training encompassed state of the art surgical management of hearing loss through cochlear implantation, tumors of the temporal bone, jugular foramen, facial nerve and cerebellopontine angle lesions such as vestibular schwannoma. He obtained the Board certification of European board of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (FEB ORL-HNS) in 2017 at Vienna. Dr. Vashishth further obtained the Joint European Diploma in Endoscopic Endonasal Skull Base Surgery from the Paris Diderot University in 2018. This entailed advanced surgical removal of skull base, sinus and brain tumors through nose as well as advanced sinus surgery, including complicated revision surgeries. Dr. Vashishth has published more than 12 original research papers in highly acclaimed international journals on topics of cochlear implantation, middle ear surgery and fungal rhinosinusitis. He is faculty and regularly presents research and clinical data in national and international meetings and conferences.
