Dr Binod Samal, after completing MBBS degree from VSS Medical College, Sambalpur, Odisha, in 1988 and MS in general surgery from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, in 1993, started his career as a medical professional. He has fellowships of the Odisha Council of Medical Education, the Delhi Medical Council, the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, the Association of Surgeons of India, the National Academy of Burns, India, the Asia-Pacific Hernia Society, Hernia Society of India, the Medical Council of India, Indian Medical Association, ATLS-India, etc. He regularly presents scientific papers at the annual conferences of these associations. He is also a diagnostics and therapeutic laparoscopy (such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy), TLH, ovarian cyst and emergency ectopic pregnancies trainer.
