Dr Veena Kalra

Formerly Professor and Head of Pediatrics Department at AIIMS, Delhi. Engaged in the promotion of Child Neurology on national and international levels. Founder President of Association of Child Neurology of India (HQ New Delhi); Former President, Asian Oceanian Child Neurology Association (HQ Tokyo); Chairperson, Educational Committee of International Child Neurology Association (HQ Brussels). Received several prestigious awards including awards from Three Hon’ble Presidents of India for outstanding academic performance; Recipient of 13 medals and Awards- Sorell Katherine Research Award, Pfizer Gold Medal, and Asian Research Award. Recently been bestowed with the Swasth Bharat Samman by Zee TV and LIC for her contributions to Pediatrics. A Fellow of various Scientific Academies spread over the world. Instrumental in establishing Pediatric Neurology as an important sub-specialty in India and at the AIIMS New Delhi. She also constituted DM (Child Neurology) post-doctoral course at AIIMS.
