She Continued Her Education And Training In United Kingdom. She Was Instrumental In Setting Up And Running The Macular Services And The Medical Retina Clinic In Birmingham ,UK For The Heart Of England NHS Foundation Trust Where She Served For More Than A Decade. Her Main Area Of Interest Is In The Management Of Diabetic Retinal Disease And Macular Disorders. She Has Extensive Experience In The Management Of Glaucoma Which Along With The Above Mentioned Conditions Is A Major Cause Of Visual Morbidity In Adults And Elderly. She Has Served The National Health Services, UK For Over 20 Years And Brings In The Expertise To Deal With The Challenges Facing Our Population In India . She Is Currently Senior Consultant, Apollo Speciality Hospital, OMR , Perungudi, Chennai. Dr.Kalpana Has Done A Lot Of Research In The Fields Of Macular Disorders And Glaucoma And Was A Clinical Investigator In The Recently Concluded Uk Glaucoma Treatment Study Led By The Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. She Also Has A Keen Interest In Genetic Eye Diseases And Neuroophthalmology. She Has Equipped Herself With The Knowledge And Skills To Practice Anti-Aging Medicine And Has Acquired Hands On Experience In The Use Of Botox, Fillers And Injectables. She Completed The A4M Course In Aesthetic Anti-Aging Medicine On Injectables Conducted By The American Academy Of Antiaging Medicine In April 2015.
