Dr. K. Vijayaraj, MBBS, MS (Orth) MD (Res) DIC , graduated from Madras Medical College in 1995 in MBBS. He then obtained his MS in Orthopedic Surgery from Madras Medical College in 2002. After Practicing as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Chennai, He Moved to the United Kingdom to Join the University College of London, Uk. He Engaged in Research as Well as Sharpened His Skills Under a World Class Faculty. During This Time He Pursued Computer Assisted Surgery and Not Only Performed Hundreds of Joint Preservation Surgeries Including Partial Knee Replacement and Hip Resurfacing, but Also Worked in Assisting in the Design of Robotic Knee Surgery. He Was Conferred Md(Research) by the University of London and Diploma Imperial College by the Prestigious Imperial College of London (Ranked 7th Best University in the World and 3rd Best in the Uk) in the Field of Computer Assisted Hip Replacement and Passive Robotics. He Then Moved to the United States of America for Further Advanced Training in Complex Joint Replacements of Knee, Hip and Shoulder, Joint Preservation and Keyhole Sports Surgeries. He Pursued Adult Reconstruction Fellowship in the Methodist Hospital in Houston Specializing in Complex Total Hip/knee Replacements and Sports Medicine Fellowship in University of Texas Medical Branch Houston. During This Time, He Was the Team Physician for Rice Owls Basketball, Baseball and American Football Teams and Pursued His Dual Interests of Continuing With His Research While Still Performing and Assisting Hundreds of Sports Keyhole Surgeries and Shoulder Replacements. During His Stay He Furthered His Skills in Robotic Knee Surgery and Was the First Surgeon From India to Be Officially Certified to Perform Makoplasty Robotic Knee Replacement in the Year 2010. True to His Self-belief He Relocated Back to the Motherland to Bring World Class Service to His Own People. He Has Published More Than 20 Articles in High Indexed Journals in Orthopedics and Presented His Research Work in the Field of Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy in the Us, Canada, Uk and Europe (France, Germany, Czech Republic & Finland) He Has Also Delivered International Guest Lectures and Moderated Scientific Sessions in This Field Abroad.
