Dr H Krishna Hande

Hi, I am Dr.Krishna Hande. I am a surgeon. I perform my surgeries at Hande Hospital located at Shenoy Nagar, Chennai, India. Hande Hospital is a 50 bedded hospital with three operating theaters, ICU etc. It is also part of the PPN (Preferred Provider Network) where those with Health Insurance may avail cashless service for in patient care. My area of interest is General Surgery – Surgery of the Thyroid, Breast etc; Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery including correction of Gynaecomastia (enlarged male breast), Liposuction, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Hair Transplantation etc. I also perform Laparoscopic Surgery especially for the removal of Gall Bladder stones (Cholecystectomy), removal of the Appendix (Appendicectomy) Uterus (Hysterectomy), etc. Hande Hospital is also known for orthopaedic surgery and Joint Replacement (Knee and Hip). Recently Hande Hospital opened a subsidiary called ‘Hande Medical Centre’ on Nungambakkam High Road, Chennai, India. I completed my MBBS and then my MS in General Surgery from the Madras Medical College. I went on to do my FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons – Edinburgh. I came back to India and completed my MCh in Plastic Surgery. Subsequently I went to Australia to train in Laparoscopic Surgery. I counsult and perform surgeries at Hande Hospital – Shenoynagar and consult in the evenings (4-6PM) at Hande Medical Centre – Nungambakkam.
