Dr. Mohinder Kaushal, Chairman and Managing Director, Trinity Hospital and Medical Research Institute, is renowned Orthopaedic, Endoscopic Spine and Knee surgeon. Prior to setting-up Arthroscopy and Spinal Endoscopy Centre and Trinity Hospital, Dr. Kaushal has served in Medical wing of Indian Air Force, PGI and GMCH, Chandigarh. Dr. Kaushal, graduated from Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, subsequently obtained Post Graduate degree in Orthopaedics from National Board of Examinations under guidance of Col. (Dr.) MS Chhabra, a renowned Spinal Surgeon of Indian Armed forces. Dr. Kaushal had been Registrar, Orthopaedics Department, GMCH, Chandigarh and worked under guidance of Prof. Rajbahadur to fine tune his skills in Spine Surgery from 1997 to 2000. He furthered his training in Endoscopic Spine Surgery and did his fellowship in Endoscopic spine surgery under World renowned Endoscopic spine surgeon Prof Jean Destandau from France. He set up private practice in 2001 and established Arthroscopy and Spinal Endoscopy Centre. The Centre is of repute for Endoscopic Spine Surgery and Arthroscopy of Joints in Chandigarh and is preferred destination for these services by NRI’s and International Patients. He specializes in treatment of Spine and knee disorders including sports injuries. He pioneered concept of Minimal Invasive Endoscopic Spine surgery in India. His surgical practice is restricted to Arthroscopic knee and Endoscopic Spine surgery. Under IOA Research Grant 2004, Dr Mohinder Kaushal reinvented and popularized Arthrospine System used in treatment of lumbar and cervical disc herniation, lumbar canal stenosis, spinal instrumentation and bone grafting. The Arthrospine System is patented under Indian Patents Act (PA NO. 1033/DEL/2009). He has more than 1000 endoscopic spine surgeries and more than 3000 arthroscopic surgeries to his credit. He is a lifetime member Indian Orthopedic Association, Indian Arthroscopy Society, Association of Spine Surgeons of India, Indian Medical Association, North Zone Chapter of Indian Orthopedic Association and Bombay Orthopedic Society (India). He is also member of international societies – AO Spine International and WESS (World Endoscopic Spine Society). He regularly attends National and International Scientific meetings as faculty/guest speaker and conducts CME ‘s and training Courses in Arthroscopic and Endoscopic spine surgical techniques for benefits of surgeons in India and aboard.
