Dr Shradha Shejekar

Dr. Shradha Shejekar, MBBS, MD Psychiatry is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 5 years of experience in the expert management of drug abuse, deaddiction, bipolar mood disorder, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, chronic pain, sexual dysfunction, sleep disorder, organic psychiatric disorder, ADHD, autism, memory disturbance etc in all age groups. She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Belgaum, India 2013. She then worked as a post graduate resident in Anaesthesiology at Government Medical College, Hubli, India for an year. Thereafter, she realised her keen interest in mental health disorders and pursued MD Psychiatry from the prestigious Goa Medical College in 2019 with a first rank. She worked there as a Senior Resident subsequently. She has worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at Nimhans in a University of Liverpool funded project. She has published and presented papers at various national conferences. She is also a Certified Childbirth Educator from USA and is passionate about educating people about natural birth, breastfeeding, infant care and perinatal mental health. She believes in the art of listening, empathy and holistically approaches mental health problems with medication and psychotherapy. She aims to increase the awareness on problems of emotional health and effective ways to deal with them routinely. She is committed to her profession with utmost dedication, knowledge and hard work.
