Dr. Safiya is the medical director of Mind and Brain Clinic- neuropsychiatric, counselling, deaddiction, child guidance and EEG center and life skills - adult day care, child development, training and rehabilitation center, recipient of B.C.Roy young achiever award for the year 2013-14, she is very passionate about psychiatry and related branches. Believes in holistic approach integrating the psychological, biological, emotional and social wellbeing of the individual. Visiting consultant in Cauvery Medical Center, MedStar Hospital, North Side Hospital, Apoorva Hospital. Active participation in de-aadiction programmes and is associated with V Care Rehabilitation Center, Yashodha Foundation. In traditional practice psychiatrist would diagnose a psychiatric illness and give medication, psychologist or counselor would counsel and give therapy, she is working towards bridging this gap. Dr. Safiya has a dual degree in psychiatry and psychology. Depending upon the need of the individual principles of psychiatry and psychology is adopted.
