Dr. Rajesh Mahadevan is a Physician (Family Medicine) and has done his super specialization in Geriatrics from the USA in 2007. He is the Indian doctor to have done his primary and advanced certification in Geriatrics from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA – USA. (University of California) and one among the few certified and qualified Geriatricians in India. He has over 25 years of clinical experience and has been practicing core Geriatrics since 2007 having started his career in 1992. Dr. Rajesh Mahadevan has vast work experience both in India and abroad; He worked as a consultant in UAE for 5 years and in Kenya and neighboring countries (East Africa) for 2 years for the AIDS and Rehabilitation Center IFPA. On his return to India in 2002, he worked in the rural parts of Bangalore and since then he is in private practice, consulting at Shree Mathru Lifecare Diagnostics Centre. His core areas of Geriatric practice include treating the elderly population of the society and addressing their problems such as Depression, Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease, Loneliness, insecurities seen in elders, by regular counseling and treating Hypertension, Diabetes, Osteoarthritis and most commonly encountered and difficult problems of the elder age group namely Anemia and Malnutrition caused by vitamin deficiencies and malabsorption syndromes. His research into the field of nutrition triggered his passion to formulate newer nutritional supplements for the Indian society and his formulations are now in huge demand in India & overseas and are being marketed by many MNC and Indian Nutraceutical companies. He is also an active member of the Free Mason’s Society and its various branches.
