Dr Rajath Athreya

Dr Rajath Athreya is Gold Medalist in MD Paediatrics from Bangalore Medical College. He trained in the London Deanery, working at world-renowned hospitals including King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. He was a Consultant Neonatologist at University Hospital Lewisham and a faculty with London School of Paediatrics. He is an instructor with Resuscitation Council of UK and Neonatal Simulation Trainer with the London Neonatal Transport Service. With over a decade of experience in UK in the field of Neonatology and Paediatrics, Dr Rajath Athreya is well versed with all aspects of neonatal intensive care including but not limited to therapeutic hypothermia, advanced modes of ventilation, management of severely growth restricted babies and extreme prematurity from 23 weeks of gestation. His areas of special interest include Neonatal Resuscitation, Stabilisation, Simulation training, Neonatal Transport Medicine, Neonatal Endocrinology and Medical & Nursing Education. He is passionate about improving quality of health care and strongly believes in practicing evidence-based medicine while compassionately involving parents in the care of their infant. He also has a breadth of knowledge and experience in all areas of Paediatrics.
