Dr Priya Raghavan

Dr Priya Raghavan relocated to United Kingdom to pursue a psychiatry career upon completion of undergraduate medical qualification (MBBS) from Bangalore University. Core psychiatry training in picturesque West of Scotland and subsequent career grade post resulted in passing MRCPsych examinations conducted by the Royal College. Thereafter,she completed her 3 year higher specialist training at Aberdeen leading to CCT (Certificate of completion of training) in old age Psychiatry in 2013 that enables individuals to work as consultants in the UK. Dr.Priya Raghavan has since worked as a consultant psychiatrist in NHS Lanarkshire, Scotland covering three busy district general hospitals and several other cottage hospitals.While she enjoyed leading, developing and delivering a robust liaison psychiatry service for Lanarkshire and also delivered services in the community via traditional CMHT (Community mental health team)model, her aim in the longer term is to develop both adult and geriatric psychiatry service in India. As such, she relocated to Bangalore in July 2017. The extensive psychiatry training across various settings has facilitated management of variety of complex psychiatric conditions like depression, dementia, schizophrenia, addiction etc across different age groups presenting with various medicolegal complexities. She is currently working as a psychiatrist at Cadabams Hospital, J.P Nagar Bangalore and has ventured into her own private practice at Healthy Mind Clinic,Vijayanagar,Bangalore.
