Dr Praveen Rodrigues

Dr Praveen Rodrigues has close to two decades of rich experience in the fields of dermatology, cosmetology & venereology, both in India and abroad. He did his MBBS at St John’s Medical College in Bangalore (1992) and went on to do his MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology from the Dept of Dermatology and STD, Command Hospital, Air Force, Bangalore. He capped it off by being awarded an IADVL (Indian association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists) Training Fellowship. He served as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College & Hospital and K C General Hospital, Bangalore. He then spent more than a decade in the UAE as a licensed dermatologist consulting with two of the largest private hospital groups in the country and he can speak Arabic well. Dr Rodrigues also has more than a passing interest in academia. He has developed health management and teaching skills, taught post-graduate students of dermatology and MBBS undergraduate students, conducted research activities in the field, assisted in training and teaching para-medical health personnel and so on. Some of the procedures he routinely performs are laser cosmetic surgeries, hair transplantation, electrosurgery, cryotherapy, PUVA (Psoralen and Ultraviolet light therapy) for psoriasis and vitiligo surgery (punch grafting).
