Dr Karthik Nagesh

Dr. Karthik Nagesh is an acclaimed neonatologist practicing at Manipal Hospitals since 1992. He is the Head of the department of Neonatology and top level in charge of the neonatal ICU at the hospital. He has more than thirty years of experience in the field of Paediatrics. After having completed his MBBS and Paediatrics, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue his further studies in neonatal intensive care. He has been highly instrumental in conducting the statewide Newborn Health initiatives and Newborn week celebrations, in association with United Nations and NNF (National Neonatology Forum). He has successfully carried out one of the first Air transport for sick neonates in India and also, the first pediatrician to use Surfactant therapy in India. He has done India proud for having been conferred FRCPCH (London) for his profound contribution to the field of neonatology and pediatrics. Another milestone in his successful career is his role as the adviser of World Health Organization.
