Dr G. Shashikala

Dr.Shashikala was the first doctor to start the specialty of developmental medicine in the country.She is a parenting professional who started the first early intervention center at Nagpur in 1987 and is the founder -member of childhood disability group and the present President of Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy. She is a well known international leader in the field and is part of the policy framing bodies in childhood disability in India and has been the research leader in evolving culturally relevant eclectic Indian model of early intervention
