Dr Rahul Sahai

Prof. Rahul Sahai is retired Professor & Head of the Department of Surgery of S.N. Medical College, Agra. Trained in Plastic Surgery in King George’s Medical College (Lucknow), he is amongst the senior most Plastic Surgeons of the State of Uttar Pradesh today. Having taught in various capacities in King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, Sayagi Medical College Vadodra, and S.N. Medical College, Agra, Prof. Sahai has accumulated more than 42 years of experience in teaching and guiding the destiny of the next generation of surgeons and plastic surgeons. Prof. Sahai was trained by Prof R N Sharma, the Pioneer plastic Surgeon of yester years. He later had the privilege of working with Prof. H.S. Asopa, the legendry hypospadias surgeon in Agra, Dr. K.S. Bhangoo in Buffalo, U.S.A, Dr. Abdul Rida Lari in Kuwait with whom he fine tuned his Cosmetic / Aesthetic surgery skills. He also worked with Prof. S D Pandey who trained him in hand Surgery and Prof. S K Bhatnagar who taught himfacio maxillary Surgery. Thus Prof Sahai has the credentials of the best trained Plastic Surgeon in our state. He regularly attends National and International conferences and presents his innovative work in many forums. His academic skills are equally matched by his organizing capabilities and he has conducted many national and international workshops on plastic and aesthetic surgery in Agra. His philanthropic work took him to various leprosy centers in Gujarat and he has been a visiting surgeon in Ansyua leprosy hospital and Shram Mandir Trust in Vadodra. Presently he is also the Professor & head of the dept. Plastic Surgery in Swami Vivekanand Hospital in Lucknow.
