She has been acquainted with psychopharmacological advances, research and Psychological therapies here. She has worked in Belfast City Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital for Children and Adolescents and the Oxford Deanery Rotation at Northampton General Hospital. Here she has subspecialised in Child and Adolescent and Family mental Health. She has several Publications to her credit. From 2008 upto May 2102, she has been the Clinical Lead in the Department of Psychiatry as a Woman and Child Psychiatrist. She has been instrumental in setting up and the running of the Psychiatry Dept. for the 750 bedded, multi- speciality tertiary care Hospital. Dr Jalpa has held several workshops in preschools and schools to create awareness amongst teachers and parents. She has been faculty in conferences & workshops for medical professionals.
