Dr. Abhishek is a unique combination of dermatologist, dermatosurgeon, Laser Surgeon, Trichologist, and Aesthetic Consultant. He has done his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College and later completed his post-graduation MD in Dermatology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. After completion of his post-graduation, he has traveled to different countries like Singapore (National Skin Center, Singapore), Thailand (Chulalongkon University, Bangkok), Europe, Dubai and USA for gaining more experience and expertise. Finally, he came back to India and started his practice in Kolkata and got attached to the good aesthetic and laser clinics in the city. He is also a renowned medical teacher; currently, he is the Associate Professor of Calcutta National Medical College. Previously he worked as a teaching faculty in IPGMER (SSKM hospital). Every year under his tutorship several new MD dermatologists and Ph.D. fellows are completing their course. Under his guideship, more than 15 theses had been completed. He is a celebrated academician around the world and has published more than 40 research papers in international and national medical journals. Beyond that, he has given more than 100 lectures or taken master classes or workshops in Lasers, Botox, fillers and other aesthetic procedures for dermatologists and plastic surgeons in different countries like USA, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Korea, Germany etc. His list of honor is lengthy, however, should mention at least the following few: 1. ILDS international Scholarship (South Korea) (2009). He has authored more than 13 chapters in different dermatology, aesthetics and Laser books. India’s only textbook on laser surgeries, named “Textbook of Lasers in Dermatology” by Jaypee publication is co-edited by him and is now an international best selling title. He is also the current associate editor of Indian Journal of Dermatology and reviewer and editorial board member of many national and international dermatology journals. He is a member of much international society including ISD, EADV, ACSI, and IADVL. He was the first convener of the Academy of Association of cutaneous surgeons of India and also a pivotal member of National Special Interest Group on lasers & aesthetics and Trichology. Dr. Abhishek is an expert in various laser procedure for scars, pigmentation, tattoo, birthmarks, hair removal, body shaping etc. He is well equipped all latest anti aging and other developments in modern aesthetic science including Botox, Fillers, Thread lifts, lipolysis, dermatoscopy, trichoscopy, radiofrequency, phototherapy, microdermabrasion, micro needling etc.
