Dr. Amit Gupta is a Consultant Diabetologist in Greater Noida and has an experience of 12 years in this field. Dr. Amit Gupta is director of the Centre for Diabetes Care. He is appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of American Diabetes Association (2021 to 2022) - A rare distinction for an Indian doctor. He is also a committee member Diabetes Resource Centre for American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). He is a fellow of Royal college of Physicians (FRCP Glasgow as well as Edinburgh),Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP), Diabetes India, Indian College of Physicians, Indian Association of Clinical medicine and Geriatric Society of India. He has obtained Fellowship in Diabetes Management from CMC Vellore (DFID) and Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes from Cardiff University UK. He is Member of SM Committee of Research Society for the study of diabetes in India. He is Immediate past communication director of American Diabetes Association - Diabetes in primary care interest group. He has also completed Joint EASD (European Association for Study of Diabetes)/ISPAD (International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes/ESPE (European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology) Postgraduate Education Course on Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults. His work is acknowledged nationally and internationally. He is recipient of several awards, to name a few Diabetes India Diabetes Awareness Initiative Award 2016 , double helical National Health award for diabetes Education 2016 and Padmakar Tripathi Young Scientist Award for his contribution to diabetes before the age of 40 years. He has been awarded Investigator of the Year Award for three consecutive years by Indian Society of Hypertension from 2017 to 2019. He has contributed to scientific knowledge by publications in journals and has written several chapters on diabetes in medical textbooks and medicine updates. He is also a contributor to first ever Joint Guidelines for diabetes management in India in 2020 Published by Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and Endocrine Society of India. He has delivered lectures on various aspects of diabetes all across the country.
