He and his team have performed the first robotic hepatico-jejunostomy in India and first low anterior resection in North India and among the first to perform robotic and laparoscopic Oesophagectomy in North India with excellent results. He also developed Enhanced recovery programme for cancer Surgery. Dr Rawat is passionate towards teaching. He is a trainer in laparoscopic surgery for Royal College of Surgeon of England and has trained surgeons all around the world. He was Surgical Tutor of Royal College of Surgeons of England.
