Dr Virendra Rajpurohit is a Renowned Consultant Cancer Surgeon. In over 14 years of practice he has carved a niche in Surgical Oncology and its subspecialties. He is the recipient of the prestigious Varoon Mahajan Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York in 2007 where he worked on treatment of Esophageal and Lung Cancers. He has also been awarded a fellowship by the Department of Esophageal Diseases at Kurume University Hospital, Japan where he worked with some of the leading esophageal surgeons in the world, including Prof H Fujita. He learnt the finer nuances of thoracoscopic esophagectomy from the pioneer himself, Prof H Osugi in Osaka, Japan. His extensive exposure to the latest technology and medical practices in world-renowned centers has fine-tuned his clinical judgment. He is associated with various national and international cancer societies and has delivered lectures and presented papers/ videos at National and International platforms. His surgical video presentations are well received and appreciated by his peers. He is also a Faculty at the Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education. He is the Organizing Secretary of the National conference of The Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, NATCON IASO 2016, to be held in Jodhpur. His initiative to spread breast cancer awareness received an overwhelming response especially events like Pink Walk and lighting historical heritage monuments in pink for the first time.
