He has been trained in Joint Replacement Surgery from Sancheti Institute of Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Pune under Prof.H.K Sancheti and Prof. Parag Sancheti. Then he did his Trauma fellowship from SIOR under Dr. Chetan Pradhan. Dr. Abhijit has done his IOA Mentorship in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery from CMC Vellore under Prof. Vrisha Madhuri. He had been selected as Limb Reconstruction Fellow in the year 2014 and went to Kurgan Russia, Siberia for Ilizarov Reconstruction Surgery under Prof. Shigarov and was also selected as International Member of AOFAS and went to University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas,the USA for Foot & Ankle Surgery fellowship under Prof.V.K.Panchbhabi in the year 2015. He has been selected as AO Trauma Asia Pacific Fellow in the year 2015 and was trained at Queen Mary Hospital, Hongkong under Prof. Frankey Leung. He has many national as well as international publications. Dr. Abhijit Bandyopadhyay is a man with unending potential and exudes positive energy to all those surrounding him. Besides his busy schedule, he devotes some of his time for social service and renders his services in Student Health Home, People's Relief Committee, and other charitable organization. Beginning from his student days, he was elected General Secretary of his Medical College’s Student Union and therefore was privileged enough to serve his fellow students and leading them through various educational and extracurricular events. He had been an active organizer from his PG days of a very prestigious event the EIIOT (Eastern India Initiative Orthopaedic Training ) every year since 2006.
