Dr. Punit Saraogi did his MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical college & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai followed by his M.D from T. N. Medical college & B.Y.L. Nair ch. Hospital, Mumbai. He topped the university and was awarded the sir D.J. Patil ‘, Gold Medal’. He has been practicing dermatology and cosmetic dermatology for 8 years. He has been the recipient of the Dr. B.V.Satyanarayan memorial award and the Dr. Arvind Lonkar award for best scientific work done, for his groundbreaking research on computerized hair analysis. Also at a very early stage in his career, he has several international and national scientific publications to his credit. He has been invited as faculty and guest speaker at both national and international conferences, including his recent presentations at the 6th world congress for hair research, cairns, Australia; 15th annual meeting of the European hair research society, Jerusalem, Israel & the 2nd Munich international summer academy international for practical dermatology, Germany - where his work was well appreciated and he was the recipient of awards and scholarships. He is currently on the editorial board and scientific content reviewer for international journal of trichology. He has also been an investigator in clinical trials and research activities at a local, national and global level. He has conducted workshops for doctors all across India on scalp biopsy and trichopathology, at the 1st international hair India conference at Chennai & the dermpath-classroom at the Amala Medical College, Thrissur. He has also conducted a series of skin awareness workshops for teenagers from many colleges in Mumbai. He has a special interest in various types of hair loss and their treatment and in cosmetic dermatology. His experience includes dealing with common skin concerns like acne, pigmentation, aging & hair loss with a gamete of peels, needling systems, mesotherapy, and lasers. He was a core member of the research and development team responsible for various medical innovations at the kaya skin clinic, India's foremost chain of cosmetic dermatology clinics.
