He taught Surgery at KPC Medical College, Jadavpur, as Assoc. Professor till 2010. At present, he is a teacher for DNB (General Surgery) and FNB (Minimal invasive Surgery) at AMRI, Dhakuria. Besides these academic attachments, he has been in active practice since last 25 years being attached to AMRI, Dhakuria, SASK (EEDF), Bellevue, Medica Super-specialty Hospital, and Apollo Gleneagles Hospital as Consultant Surgeon. Laparoscopic surgery, Oesophageal, Pancreatic, Colorectal and Hepatobiliary Surgery are his main area of interest besides Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
