Dr. Aparna Govil Bhasker is a Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon. She is one of the first surgeons in India to be accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as a Center of Excellence (COE) surgeon in 2011. She completed her post- graduation in General Surgery from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram, India in 2006 after which she went on to do a fellowship in “Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery” in Mumbai. In 2015, she completed a 9-month online diploma on “Principles and Practice of Clinical Research” from the Harvard Medical School. Bariatric and Laparoscopic GI surgery are her key specialties and she has experience of over 11 years in these fields. She held the position of Section Chief of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai until September 2017 after which she moved to Global Hospital at Parel as a bariatric surgeon where she is available every day from 9 am to 12.30 pm. She is also attached to Apollo Hospital, CBD Belapur in New Bombay, Currae Hospital, Thane; Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Suchak Hospital, Malad and at Namaha Hospital in Kandivali West as a Bariatric Surgeon.
