Dr. Tarun Agarwal, Born in March 1976 at Lucknow, did his schooling from Mahanagar boys inter college. He was a bright and meritorious student throughout. He was awarded certificate of honour of Education Department Uttar Pradesh for Qualifying The National Talent Search Examination. He did his 12th in 1994 with distinction in all subjects. He was selected in the same year in the most prestigious King George's Medical College (1994 batch). He completed his MBBS in 1999 and internship in 2000. He was awarded honours in Physiology, Social & Preventive Medicine, Microbiology, Surgery,Orthopaedics & Obst. & Gynaeocology during MBBS. He was selected for post Graduation in General Surgery in the first attempt and did his M.S.(Master of Surgery) from L.L.R.M. Medical College Meerut from 2001-2004. He was awarded Dr. Manohar Lal Goyal Gold Medal for best performance in MS Surgery final examination . He also worked as Senior Resident in the department of surgery of various prestigious institutes of the country like Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research and Education (PGIMER), Himalayan Institute of Medical Science, Jolly Grant Dehradun and Indra Gandhi ESI Hospital Delhi. He was also awarded fellowship of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgery ( FIAGES ) and Fellowships of Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS ). Then he was appointed as Assistant professor in department of surgery in Subharti Institute Of Medical Sciences, Meerut and was later promoted to Associate professor in Depatrment Of Surgery Of Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar, Rama Medical College, Ghaziabad and Teerthanker Medical College, Muradabad. Now presently is working as Associate professor in the Career Institute Of Medical Sciences Lucknow. Dr. Tarun Agarwal has performed various routine as well as emergency operations in General Surgery field like surgery for hepatobiliary system, endocrine system, urinary system, gynaecology, gastro intestinal surgeries, vascular surgery, hernia etc. He is also expert in performing Laparascopic General, Gynaecological Surgeries, and Endourological surgeries like Lap Hernia (TAPP/TEP) Diagnostic Lap, LAVH, TLH, Lap Herniotony, Lap Pyelo Lithotomy, Lap Varicocelectomy, TURP,TURBT,Cystoscopy, Optical Internal Urethrotomy, Ureteronoscopy (Flexible and Rigid uretoroscopy), PCNL, RIRS. He has also credit to his name various research works under his supervision during his academic career as assistant and associate professor. He has also contributed in various research articles published in various International and regional journals.He also attended numerous/multiple conference and CMEs and has presented research papers in various conferences. He is a life member of Association of Surgeons of India (ASI ), Indian Medical Association (IMA), Association of Minimal Access Surgeons Of India (AMASI), Indian Association Of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES). He is also a Life Member of Society of Endoscopic and Laproscopic Surgeons Of India (SELSI), Indian Society for Trauma and Acute Care (ISTAC) and Associate Members Of Urological Society Of India (USI).
