Today he is known as leading Bariatric surgeon. He has done his Masters in Surgery from Mumbai University and holds professional memberships in various national and international surgical societies He has been instrumental in starting the very first Bariatric surgery department in KMF Hospital at Thane and has credit of performing the very first bariatric surgery for severe obesity in Thane city and district He has performed more than 2000 minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgeries successfully till now.
