Dr. Niju Pegu is an eminent Cancer Surgeon, endowed with rich and diverse experience with a distinguished academic record, and has established himself as a specialist in Surgical Oncology and has been practicing as a Surgical Oncologist since 2014. Dr Pegu is one of the top and well-known surgical oncologists in Guwahati and has a special interest in Upper GI Oncology (Esophagus & Stomach), Breast, Hepatobiliary, Laparoscopic Surgical Oncology, and Robotic Surgical Oncology. He has completed his MBBS from the prestigious Guwahati Medical College in the year 2010, MS from Guwahati Medical College in the year 2014, and MCh ( super specialty) in Surgical Oncology from B Borooah Cancer Institute in the year 2019 and also a fellowship of FICS (Fellow of the International College of Surgeons). He has been associated and has practiced extensively in surgical oncology across several reputed Institutes and hospitals. He was Senior Resident in Surgical Oncology, AIIMS, New Delhi, and was also an Associate Consultant in Surgical Oncology, RKM Hospital, Itanagar.
