Dr Rama Joshirao Paranjape

A recipient of the all India President's Gold Medal in the speciality of Family Medicine, Dr. Rama Joshirao Paranjape is a physician geriatrician with a keen interest in preventive medicine for the elderly. She completed her graduation (MBBS) from Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital,Pune, affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. She was a valedictorian throughout MBBS and has received distinctions in many subjects. She was also the receiver of the Best Outgoing Student Award at the end of her MBBS course. She further did her post graduation, DNB in Family Medicine (under National Board of Examinations, New Delhi) from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (IGNOU) and has undergone training at Sasoon General Hospital, Pune. She is certified in Diabetes Management by Public Health Foundation of India. Dr. Rama Joshirao Paranjape has done a Clinical Observership in Geriatric Medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi under the guidance of Dr. AB Dey. She was an Academic Visitor at Basildon University Hospital, United Kingdom, in the department of Eldercare Medicine with Dr. Shilpa Raje. She has participated and presented papers at national level conferences and has publications in indexed journals. She has been a guest panelist at the Annual Conference of the Research Society at SKN Medical College 2020. She is a panel consultant doctor at Athashri Senior Living. She actively holds health talks and screening camps for senior citizens across Pune. Dr. Rama has passion for her work and has pledged to work for the betterment of the elderly.
