Dr. Amit Langote, MBBS, MD, DNB, is a Nephrologist at Seawoods Clinic, Navi Mumbai and a Full-time Consultant Nephrologist at Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai. He has more than 11 years of experience in the field of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Hypertension. He completed MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion in 2000, MD - Medicine from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Sion in 2007 and DNB (Nephrology) from PD Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mahim, Mumbai in 2010.Educated in India's Leading University, he has been trained by the faculty in Nephrology in Mumbai and abroad. Over the years, he has acquired expertise and trained extensively in the field of Nephrology, Hypertension, Renal Transplant, and Home Dialysis.Dr. Amit Langote is also trained in Nephro-Radiology from Atlanta, USA with emphasis on doing USG guided catheter placement, Renal Biopsy, and Renal USG. He has various fellowships to his credit which include: 1. Fellowship in Renal Transplant - From American Society of Transplantation (AST) 2. Fellowship in Home Dialysis (Home Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis) from University of Ottawa, Canada 3. Certified Clinical Hypertension Specialist by American Society of Hypertension (ASH) 4. Mini-Fellowship in Renal Ultrasonography from Atlanta, USA. His areas of special interest lie in Chronic Kidney Disease prevention, Hypertension, Electrolyte Disorders, Home Dialysis and Renal Transplant. He is also keen to promote the use of Peritoneal Dialysis in end-stage renal disease patients. Dr. Amit Langote was awarded "Angel Pin" award for his contribution to patient care at the Ottawa Hospital in Canada in 2015. He is an Executive Member of Mumbai Nephrology Group, Member of Indian Society of Nephrology, Associate Member International Society of Nephrology, Member of American Society of Hypertension and Member of Canadian Society of Nephrology.
