Dr Mohan Patel

Dr. Mohan Patel is a Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician of Apollo Hospitals, Nashik. He has been graduated (MBBS) from B.J. Medical College, Pune and done MD in Internal Medicine from Govt. Medical College, Nagpur. Subsequently, he did super-specialty training DM in Nephrology from one of the premier institute of Nephrology, Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Center (IKDRC), B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, which is India’s largest Renal Transplant Center. He has been awarded Gold Medal in DM Nephrology by Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Dr. Mohan is a stalwart in Nephrology, having a vast experience in Interventional Nephrology procedures like Tunneled Perm-Cath dialysis catheter insertions, Per-Cutaneous CAPD catheter insertions, USG guided Native Kidney Biopsy and Transplant Kidney Biopsy. Dr. Mohan pursues medical care with compassion and perfection in treating critically ill patients like Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Urinary Tract Infections (UTI), Polycystic Kidney Diseases (PKD) and several other renal problems. Apart from this, he has expertise in managing dialysis modalities like Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Slow Low Efficiency Dialysis (SLED), Intermittent Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis. Besides these, he has many award winning paper presentations in various national and international conferences. He has the credit to publish his research work through various articles in pubmed indexed National and International Journals. Considering his research contribution in the field of Kidney Transplantation, he has been felicitated with “Young Innovator Award” by the American Society of Transplantation. Owing to his academic excellence and involvement in the field of Nephrology, he has been selected on Young Nephrologist Platform by European Renal Association- European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA). He is also conferred with fellowship for Clinical Nephro-Pathology by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN-ANIO).
